King Endymion is the future self of Mamoru, and the father of Chibiusa (Sailor Chibi Moon). He is caring and calm, just like the present Mamoru.
He is first introduced in the Black Moon arc of the series, also known as Sailor Moon R. When he is introduced we discover he is more or less a shadow of his real body (You could pass through him) since he was seriously injured by the Black Moon.
He seemed to more or less "guide" the Sailor Soldiers through the future, helping them and giving them information, such as details about the planet Nemesis. When Neo Queen Serenity awoke from her sleep, King Endymion returned to his own body.
In SailorStars, King Endymion's main role was to welcome Small Lady Serenity back to Crystal Tokyo.
