Naru is introduced as Usagi's best friend, and appears constantly throughout the series. Her mother runs her familiy business, a jewelry story named OSA*P. Her most important appearance was Act 01. A youma took the appearance of Naru's mother, and sold jewels that would suck people's energy. When Naru was attacked, Sailor Moon went to save her.
Naru mostly appears throughout the series to give information to Usagi or introduce her to things, such as channeling videos in the Black Moon arc and telling Usagi about Haruka in the Infinity Arc.
Naru's part in Sailor Stars is even more minor than Sailor Coronis. She is shown in one cell eating lunch with Usagi.
