Makoto first appears when Naruru, Ruruna, Hotaru, and Chibiusa are visiting his pawn shop, Hammer Price Shop. The two Real Estate Agents kick him and tell him that he needs to pay up. Naruru and Ruruna are concerned, but he says he's OK.
While Naruru, Ruruna, Chibiusa, and Hotaru are visiting Hammer Price Shop, Chibiusa notices his apron, which has little pictures of Luna, Artemis, and Diana. Makoto promises to sew four aprons, one for each of the girls.
The next day, two trucks crashed into the Hammer Price Shop's warehouse's cracking the sides. From the warehouse comes the ghost Otakura, who threatens to suck everyone into the warehouse. Makoto sees everyone in trouble, and decides to help.
Before Naruru and Ruruna are sucked into the warehouse, Tubby Kamen appears and catches Ruruna and Naruru in a net, and Naruru and Ruruna are amazed by their savior.
