Sailor Venus started her Sailor Senshi career as Sailor V. After Sailor V recovered her memories of the Silver Millenium, she became Sailor Venus. Minako acted as a decoy for the Moon Princess until Usagi recovered her memories. Minako is an easygoing person who loves to relax and have fun. However, she knows how to be serious when the situation calls for it. She also has her own personal guardian cat named Artemis.

Minako's first big appearance was at a concert with the Three Lights, where Sailor Iron Mouse attacked. The elusive Sailor Starlights made their first appearance here. After seeing Sailor Jupiter and Sailor Mercury killed by Sailor Aluminum Seiren, Minako and Rei decide to confront the Three Lights to find out if they were the Sailor Starlights. She and Rei transform in front of the Three Lights. Likewise, the Three Lights transform.

Upon feeling a disturbance at the Hikawa Shrine, Sailor Mars and Sailor Mercury rush over. Sailor Lead crow stole the crystals of Phobos and Deimos. Sailor Moon then appeared and destroyed Sailor Lead Crow, however, Sailor Galaxia stole Mars and Sailor Venus's Sailor Crystals.

Sailor Venus then becomes the puppet of Sailor Galaxia, and attacks Sailor Moon with the rest of the Sailor Senshi. Sailor Moon finds the courage to defeat her friends and move on. When she finally defeats Sailor Chaos and leaps into the Galaxy Cauldron, she meets back up with all of her friends. She is sent back to earth and is married to Mamoru, each one of the Sailor Senshi taking their place as one of her bridesmaids.
