Sailor Cosmos didn't have Chibi Chibi to help her in her time

Sailor Cosmos when she battled Shadow Galactica was a lot more fragile then the present's Usagi.

Sailor Cosmos was too afraid to battle Shadow Galaxia, so she went back to the past, a time where when she was much more powerful.

Sailor Cosmos is Usagi's final incarnation, the fact that she has white not blonde hair suggest that (during the time of the Silver Milennium she had also white in the manga) it is not just another form of hers (like Super Sailor Moon, Eternal Sailor Moon, Neo Queen Serenity. etc.). Chibi Chibi has red hair because she (Cosmos) used Sailor Galaxia's Star Seed (Galaxia's hair is red) to change the past, her past when she had the chance to destroy Chaos forever (turning into sword in the anime,or destroying the Cauldron),so it is possible that she merged with Galaxia's Star Seed (the same as she merged Galaxia's Star Seed with Usagi's to revive her, when Usagi's was taken). And,that star on her forhead,is a symbol of her protecting universe,so in the process her ginzuishou changed form according to her hearts wishes.

Chibi and Cosmos are the same, its just when Cosmos appeared she traveled through time so she would appear older and not confuse the Sailor Soliders if she appeared as Chibi Chibi.

Sailor Cosmos is actually the Hindu diety Radha, the consort of Krishna, The Female Aspect of God, your well wisher. She is a special helper of Sailor Moon, her spirit guide, if you will!

Neo Queen Serenity can transform into Sailor Cosmos in the far future because Serenity is eternal.

Sailor Cosmos is Sailor Moon's future self who came back to the past to try to change it, because she regretted letting Chaos live (which Sailor Moon does at the end of Stars). She tries to get Sailor Moon to destroy the Galaxy Cauldron and Chaos along with it, winning the war but effectively ending the world. But in the end, she didn't actually change anything. You can see that in the manga because Cosmos says "the chosen path was not a mistake."

Cosmos and Chaos are connected as balance betwen light and darkness and both can not be destroyed. Darkness needs light to cast shadows and light needs darkness to shine. However, darkness grew more and more powerful, closing out the shine of light almost completly and Cosmos had to run away to try saving the small light that was left.

Sailor Cosmos is a collective entity made up of all the senshi who have ever - even temporarily - accessed the ultimate Lamda power. Those senshi's memories and feelings are imprinted on the Cosmos crystal - hence, why Cosmos both refers to Usagi as her past self and at the same time seems to treat her as a separate individual.

Sailor Cosmos is Sailor Moon, and "Cosmos" is not an actual senshi, but it is a title earned. In the future, Sailor Moon earns the title of Sailor Cosmos, and forgets all about her past self until she realizes her "mistake" of not destroying the Cauldron.

I think in the end Cosmos accepts that she can't kill Chaos without destroying the universe. The two work in a kind of balance. Cosmos (along with Moon) is the static, preserving force, Chaos is the creation and destruction, the force of change. To destroy either would create imbalance and lead to a sort of "new world order" for their universe, and Cosmos and the other senshi aren't really ready for that yet. Cosmos temporarily "wins" in the end of Stars because Moon-tachi didn't want to remake the universe, they wanted to keep the lives they already had. I think that fits in with the whole theme of Cosmos bringing together all the senshi's souls. They want to become perfect through unity rather than destroying everything and starting over.

Sailor Cosmos is actually Queen Serenity. Superficially, they are similar: they both wear white, have white hair in the odango style, and both have beads on their foreheads. In the manga, Sailor Cosmos admits to being a coward who ran away from battle. In the same way, Queen Serenity didn't stand up to Queen Metallia, just sent everyone to the future. Both of them have the power to send people to different places (Queen Serenity sent the senshi to the future, Cosmos sent the Sailor Quartet to the future.) Cosmos also tells the Quartet that she stood by Usagi's side to guide and support her; wouldn't a loving mother do something like that?

Cosmos is Usagi's twin. Long ago when they were born, Usagi had the power of the moon, so was left with Queen Serenity to rule there, while Cosmos bore the starseed of their father's world, and so was taken with him to rule.
When the Metallia attacked, and Moon Queen Serenity sent those on the moon to the future, the world Cosmos was on was fine. So Cosmos continued to live in peace, growing into a wonderful queen.
When Usagi was remembering things, Cosmos wasn't part of it, because she had never been a very big part of Princess Serenity's life. They only met a few times, both too busy with their own worlds to worry too much about knowing the other.
When Chaos finally attacks Cosmos's world, she has never faced a threat like this before, and ends up running away to go find help. The person she ends up going to is Usagi, her "other half" so to speak. When the battle is over, and her twin, who is now several years younger then her, could do what she could not, she says that Usagi is the one worthy of the title "Sailor Cosmos", not her. That her twin has bested her.

Neo Queen Serenity, who is now queen of all the galaxy including the Earth (Which hadn't been part of the Silver Millenium) has the power of all in the galaxy. Heal, kill, send to past/future, change form, all power. Her final power-up, protector of all life, is Sailor Cosmos.

I don't know who Cosmos is... but somehow, I don't think she's Sailor Moon. First of all, think about it. When Sailor Moon was close to Neo-Queen Serenity for a few minutes, she started to disappear. A person can't be in two places at once... However, ChibiChibi lived with her for months and neither of them disappeared. When Cosmos referred to her past self, perhaps she was referring to the fact that at that moment, Sailor Moon was the one who held the title of Sailor Cosmos, which seems to be given to whoever is the strongest...

It is possible that we (all us Moonies) have just misinterperted the actual text. Sailor Ceres asks Cosmos: "Are you the future... The future Sailor Moon's ultimate form!?" But Sailor Cosmos never really answers her until later in the conversation when she states that when she has the courage to be LIKE Eternal Sailor Moon, then she (Cosmos) can truly be Cosmos. Until that time, it seems Usagi-chan must shoulder the burden.

Sailor Cosmos is the result of Naoko wanting a senshi to represent the entire universe and thus be a megalomaniacal Godlike powerup for her wimpy author avatar character Sailor Moon.

In the last chapter of the manga, you can see that Sailor Cosmos says that "the Sailor Moon that just saved the universe is the real Sailor Cosmos." Now, when Sailor Moon threw herself into the Cauldron to save everyone, she gathered the power of all the senshi in the universe and practically used herself as a host for all those powers. Therefore, Sailor Cosmos is a being that is formed when all of the powers of the senshi from across the universe (aka the "cosmos") are fused with Sailormoon.

Sailor Cosmos is truly the great granddaughter of Sailor moon in the future after going to Crystal Tokyo. We all know that Neo Queen Serenity and King Endymion have Chibi-usa, and then Chibi-usa and Helios has a child, which turns out to be Princess Kakyuu. and when the get word of Choas, they send Kakyuu into the past, but something screws up and she lands on the planet with the Sailor Stars, lossing her memory and becomes the princess of that planet. And when she slowly regains her memory she turns into the star seed and goes to Galaxia, who sends her to Sailor Moon as Chibi-Chibi. And begins to transform and when they are up against Galaxia, then later on transforms into Princess Kakyuu. and returns to the planet, but remmembers that she's Sailor Cosmos, and returns to Crystal Tokyo. And does all that stuff with the Choas thing, and goes back into time to help Enternal Sailor moon. and that's how Sailor Cosmos comes into the story ^.^

Sailor Cosmos seems to be the future form of Sailor Moon, but in an alternate universe. The way she speaks, it sounds like she had gone through all of this before and then realized that since she didn't destroy Chaos at this point in time, she made the wrong decision. So coming back as Chibi Chibi, she gave Usagi the support she needed to choose the right path because she was all alone and couldn't do it on her own in her own universe. Now that Usagi has destroyed Chaos, she truly holds the title. Once Sailor Cosmos goes back to her reality, she too can reclaim this title by showing the courage and strength that Usagi had.

I think Sailor Cosmos is not really an avatar of Sailor Moon, but more like an aspect of Moon's soul. Through Chibi Chibi and Sailor Cosmos, she symbolizes the two sides of Moon's soul. Sailor Cosmos is the pessimistic, jaded and battle weary warrior, while Chibi Chibi is the innocent and simple embodiment of childish optimism. Both must reveal themselves to further empower Sailor Moon as a balance of hope and strength. It's kinda like taking two polar-opposite ways of handling a situation, and combining them to find the right balance.

Cosmos is the future/ultimate form of Sailor moon. When Cosmos does not answer when they ask if she is Sailor Moons real form, Cosmos was just to scared to reveal that to them as it might cause problems when Usagi becomes Neo Queen.
Sailor Cosmos/Moon
***
Sailor Cosmos came back from the future where she was losing against Chaos. She felt that she had made a mistake in the past while she was Sailor Moon and should have destroyed Chaos when she had a chance. So when she went back, she used the form of ChibiChibi to get close to Sailor Moon to guide her to the "right" choice. But in the end, Cosmos discovers that she had made the right choice and goes back to the future full of hope again.

I think Sailor Cosmos really is Sailor Moon's future form, but only in the manga. I think that when Neo Queen Serenity dies in the future, and Chibiusa takes the throne, that Neo Queen Serenity will be reborn as Sailor Cosmos, the ultimate Sailor Senshi, because as we all know Sailor Moon is eternal.
Amanga

Sailor Cosmos is the combination of all Sailor Crystals with the Silver Crystal. That form of Sailor Moon had the power to destroy the Cauldron, but she didn't, making Chaos stronger and stronger.
So she came back to the past and helped Sailor Moon, which changed the events.

(Cele's note: This theory was sent in both English and Italian, so both are included.)
English
Sailormoon flows into coudroun doing shine the most of its sailor crystal and calling on whether all sailor crystal the galaxy. SailorMoon then dies (say it clearly that sacrifices) and his body, now devoid of life, houses the cosmos seed, a new sailor crystal born from the union of all sailor crystal the galaxy through the power lambda. You said it in the second series that no one can find himself another space-time, and that Neo Queen Serenity loses his powers combative once rose to the throne, in the fourth series also says that Diana Eternal SailorMoon has the power closer to that of queen , So SailorCosmos can not be SailorMoon.
Italiano

Submit your Sailor Cosmos theory
Please try not to make it TOO outrageous, like "Cosmos once was a Sailor Senshi and now is a pie" or "Sailor Cosmos is really Sailor Chaos but she hides it. Sailor Chaos is now purified and the universe will be safe." If it's something you don't HONESTLY think Naoko would use, just leave it. Also please try not to use otaku characters unless it ABSOLUTELY DOESN'T MAKE SENSE without them. Naoko created a fine buch of characters, and about 55 of them appeared in Sailor Moon Sailor Stars.
