Sitey >> Doushite?
Included in this little ditty is why I chose Sailor Cosmos and why I decided to make a website. Why I chose Sailor Cosmos
I chose Sailor Cosmos for a few reasons. My prime reason is that she only appears for 13 pages. Count 'em. Also, I had seen little to no Sailor Cosmos sites on the web. She also had little to no information to put down. Call me lazy (Cause I am), but that was my first incentive towards a Sailor Cosmos Shrine. Then I looked at her and thought "Gosh, she's really pretty!" There was reason number two.
After reading into her story a few times, I started to grasp it. (I don't know why, but oftentimes I have to read manga through at least twice before I begin to pick out important plot details completely.) Her story is beautiful to me. Running away from the future and coming to the past to have Sailor Moon make the right choice, although she already had. A bit haunting. Reason #3. Three was good enough for me, so I signed up for a Geocities account and started building.
Why I chose to make a website
Website design interested me ever since I found Angelfire, my very first host ever. I saw lots of good Sailor Moon websites, and I wanted to create one myself. In fact, my very first Sailor Moon site was hosted there, and I completely forgot the URL. I believe it was called Silver Stars, and it had all the components of a bad page. But don't most of us start out bad? It had an ungodly huge splash image, and three subsections dedicated to Sailor Mars, Sailor Saturn, and Sailor Pluto. I THINK the images mighta been direct linked, and I know for sure the information was copy and pasted off of The Sailor Moon Hideway. (Now down)
I first wanted to make a shrine on Sailor Moon in general, but I quickly scrapped that idea when I thought of all the work I'd have to do. I then considered Sailor Jupiter, as she was my favorite Sailor Senshi back then. I also scrapped that idea, thinking that if I chose Sailor Jupiter, I would still have a ton of work, and convinced myself there were lots of Sailor Jupiter shrines out there anyway. The Sailor Moon Site idea was put on hold.
After I happily got my hands on all of the Sailor Moon manga, the thought occured to me again. I wanted an easy character to do a shrine on, and if I read through the manga again, I might find one. I was thinking this while I was reading near the end of tankouben #18. I flipped the page, and saw Sailor Cosmos standing on the cliff. Then it hit me. THIS was the person I was going to make a shrine to.
